| | Gets very crowded in summer, but the town is a fun surf-town. Better not to go in summer (ultra crowded) nevertheless there is the ASP surf world championship in august

pretty cool and a hot night life ! I see that some of you have been kind of disappointed by Lacanau (except for surfing) and especially for the night life. You guys haven't chosen the right time to come here to party. From 15th june to 30th august, the night life is absolutely wild with lovely girls everywhere and a great ambiance. It's a much loved destination for people to come on holidays, so from september the only people you will see in the water and in the clubs (when they are not closed) will be the locals. So if you come in summer, go to the Bacardi and then to "Le Onze" (if it opens again one day) but the line up willbe overcrowded... The rest of the year you will have some good surf, but no night life. It's up to you to decide what you want... |

When I arrived, it was really foggy with only one guy out. Waves seemed small. But when I paddle out, I realized it was bigger than I thought. Even the peak was moving, the rights were really good, glassy and no close out.

It was bigger than expected. We didn't go to the outside banks as it seem it was powerless. We stay near the left. Photos don't show it but it was hard to catch. the waves were very fast.

Cold
The surf was bad all along the coast yesterday... I just went into the water to have a surf without any illusion on the quality...Still only close out.... I want to move in other regions !
