train or car
hitchike or you can take a train direct to Bayaonne - then a short bus ride gets you out to the jetty or even anglet itself.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to get to the beach from Pau?

Biarritz- Cotes de Basque
Early August, a good solid 4-8 ft. day, NW swell , fair plus shape at the Cotes de Basque.Very crowded, much like San Onofre in California, but a mellow crew.Extreme tide swings can change everything and the swell was followed by hard onshores and stormy conditions, the same day.Follow the lifeguard instructions/flag system or you could be beached!

I went to Biscarosse for my Holidays. I didn't expected much surf as the weather forecast seemed bad. But it has been pretty good except 3 days. I get some excellent sessions on excellent sandbanks.
