West of L'Herradura is a little spot on the popular tourist beach with a rock point that sticks out a couple hundred feet that locals reportedly surf when the wind blows up some swell.. the day i saw it was choppy and resembled surfing in the gulf of florida... i got drunk instead, but if you are on tour through the area either on the way to morrocco or italy, check this part of the coast if its choppy.. there are waves .
rides are never longer than 6 seconds, the wave just breaks all over you...
you get some big waves ocassionaly, the best time is always at the end of august, its hot and there are waves, watch out for the spider fish!

Occasionally
Occasionally you can get some big waves about 1.5m. Check out Victor's beach, its where the kiters hang out. Bring your kite just in case there is wind, if no wind surf the waves! Waves are pretty sloppy but can be fun none the less.
